Our starter pack is the most cost effective way to utilise network cameras in the home. This one camera system contains everything you need to monitor a location remotely (on a computer or internet enabled mobile phone) and record images (continuously or by using motion detection) with no additional hardware. The camera is pan and tilt enabled, which can be controlled from a computer or mobile, meaning you can monitor an even greater area.
The Panasonic BB-HCM500 series are complete systems in themselves. The camera need not even be plugged into a network to record images. The camera records video directly to the included 2GB SD memory card. Video may then be played back by plugging the camera into a network, or via a PC by removing the SD card.
The camera may be told to record images continuously, on a timed schedule, or even on motion detection. It's inputs may be used with optional sensors (window/door sensors, light sensors) to trigger recording on certain conditions. The cameras outputs may then be used to trigger optional alarms, sound recordings, lights etc. if required.
Another useful feature of this camera is its ability to email you when it detects motion. Receive a static image of the event which triggered the motion detection sent straight to your inbox!

The camera is uPNP enabled. In simple terms this means that the camera is very easy to configure to allow outside access (via another computer on the internet or via a internet-enabled mobile phone). As long as your router is also uPNP enabled (as most modern routers are) you simply have to press a button on the cameras setup page and the camera will negotiate with your router and correctly configure itself! Panasonic have even made accessing your camera remotely even easier with its FREE viewnetcam.com service. Simply configure your camera to use this service and you can then access it from anywhere in the world from a simple url that you choose (i.e. myhome.viewnetcam.com)!
This pack is ideal for monitoring your home when at work. Place it in your porch, hallway, kitchen or garage and see who comes and goes when you're not there. Installing the camera in your holiday home ensures it is not in use when it should not be.
The starter pack is available in a megapixel variety which you can choose by selecting the appropriate option above.
The Panasonic BB-HCM500 series is powered by an included Panasonic 12v power supply. However, the pack may be upgraded using the options above to power the camera via PoE (power-over-ethernet). This can be done by choosing the PoE injector (an injector only can power one device) or the 8-port Netgear PoE switch (which may power up to 4 devices for future additions to your system). Powering the camera via PoE simply means that only the network cable needs to be ran to the camera, the cable carrying both the data and the powe rsupply. This can greatly simplify installation.
The pack ships with a Panasonic HCM511 pan/tilt network camera, 12v Panasonic power supply, 2GB SD card and 5 meter patch cable. Also included are detailed instructions fron netcamstore.com on how to setup and configure your camera to get the most from this system. |
